BRETT JOHNSTON
It all started as a young boy when he was 13 years old; at that time his father managed a waste company. In the summer he painted all the waste containers for his Dad’s company; he continued to paint the containers every summer until he went away to University.
After his first year at University, Brett’s father offered him the opportunity to work at the business again – this time in a sales position. Eager to please and willing to learn, Brett spent his summers sharpened his sales skills before graduating from Ryerson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Enterprise Development.
Since then, Brett has acquired more than 25 years of extensive experience in the environmental and waste management sector, specializing in strategic business development in Canada and the Middle East.
Throughout his career, he has held management and sales positions in some of the largest waste and recycling companies in Canada, including Waste Management, Turtle Island Recycling, Waste Services Inc., and Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Co. LLC, in the United Arab Emirate.
In 2012, Brett founded TRASCHO SOLUTIONS CORP., which offers collection of non-hazardous waste and recyclable material to the residential, commercial, industrial and special events customers utilizing mini bins.
